About Us
We have 3 classes with different members of staff in each. We have a nursery manager and teacher, teaching assistants, nursery nurse and MDSA's. We also have an administration assistant responsible for the nursery, who deals with all the admission paperwork, emails, parent queries, advertising and social media updates.
The Penzance class is for our younger children . We accept 2-year-olds in our morning classes (these run from 8.35am to 11.35am every week day) and our afternoon Penzance class accommodates newly turned 3-year-olds (so children who turn 3 after the 1st September). These afternoon classes run from 12.10pm to 3.10pm every weekday.
The St Ives and St Erth classes are for the children who start school the following year (so for children who turn 3 before the 1st September). In the St Ives class, children attend wither morning or afternoon sessions. Morning sessions run from 8.35am to 11.35am. Afternoon sessions run from 12.10pm to 3.10pm. In the St Erth class, children attend all-day sessions from 8.35am to 3.10pm, including a 35 minute lunch break. Children are required to bring healthy pack lunches in if they are attending all-day.
We accept funded or paying children and 30-hours funding. We accept the new working parent funding from 2 years old.
Our nursery classes are fully equipped with the latest play and learning resources and we have use of outdoor spaces including a specific outdoor space for nursery only, a forest school and use of the larger playgrounds and school fields /MUGA when required. We follow the early years curriculum and cover the following areas: Communication and language, Physical Development, Personal, social and emotional development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the world, Expressive art and design.
Our nursery is very popular and often over-subscribed. We currently hold a waiting list for future children to attend.
